Jardin de Chine in Ciel balances a large-scale floral and animal-inspired design with the surface character of a printed wallcovering. It was photographed in sections on-site, redrawn line for line and matched for its original color of white and grey leaves against an espresso ground. A paper / non-woven finish adds another layer of tactile and visual refinement. The Ciel palette gives the design a clear color direction and layers naturally with both contemporary and traditional schemes. Supplied untrimmed, it allows the installer to prepare the edges for a precise, project-specific wallcovering installation.
